I woke up today feeling slightly bored since Hana and Marisa deserted me for the weekend. I decided going for a walk would be fun. I wanted to explore the city a little bit more. Well, I just kept going and ended up in Sausalito, across the Golden Gate Bridge, 9.3 miles away. It was a beautiful walk even though the weather was cold and misty. The Presidio, which took up a third of the distance, makes you feel like you're in the middle of a huge forest. It leads to Crissy Field which is on the water by the base of the bridge. The walk across the bridge was pretty cool too. San Francisco looked so far away! Eventually I made it to Sausalito, had a bite to eat and then jumped on the bus back home. I think I'm going to start going on city hikes like these. Living right in the middle of San Francisco makes it easy to go anywhere. I'm excited to plan my next trip!

Look Mom! Nubbin trees just like yours!

It's amazing i can walk 2 miles from my apt and be surrounded with trees like these

Log Cabin anyone?

Who knew there was a pet cemetery in the middle of the city?! RIP Fido

Crissy Field had a ton of public art outside. This was one of my favorites

Hey Mom and Dad, these were the creeps you told me to look out for and have my guard up. Thanks for the warning, that was a close one...

The bridge alone is 1.3 miles
