Thanksgiving in Arizona

I flew down to Arizona for Thanksgiving. If you think I'm a lot of Feldman, think me times 1,000. We ate ourselves silly and listened to a friend of the family go on for literally hours about everything we could ever want to know including what happens if a fireball hits us. It was great to see the family and now I'm back in SF having dreams of cheesecake. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!

.hi.

Hope everyone is doing well! I miss you guys!

I realize it's been a min. I don't want to say the novelty of moving has worn off, because it hasn't. It's just that all of a sudden real life set in. More and more I know the decision to move here was the right one. I needed something for myself, something that was mine. It feels like home. I've said before that it comes in waves, the feeling that I live here now. It didn't seem real for a long time. The other day I was one my way to work. I don't really know where it came from, or why, but it was the first time I missed Seattle. However, at the same time, it was the first time it fully felt like home here. Its hard to explain but I think I didn't miss Seattle because in the back of my mind, Seattle was still "home". Then it switched. San Francisco is now my home and I have a reason to miss Seattle because it is now a destination. Does that translate? I miss Seattle because it's time, because it is no longer me. For a second it made me really sad, but then extremely happy and excited. I've finally switched phases in my life. And who knows what will happen 2, 5, 10 years from now, but for the moment, I have a completely new phase to create. That's exciting!

DO IT!!!!!!!!

Diddy is a Wise Man. Listen Up.

Like Little Runners in a Marathon

The weather is finally starting to turn to fall. It's amazing because we've been here for almost a month and a half now and it has only rained 1 day. It's been in the 70s or 80s the majority of the time. And it's not like it's going to get cold and rainy, i guess that doesn't happen here. But it does get cool and foggy. Now while i would still choose fog over rain any day, it's still a trip. I understand where the inspiration for the movie The Mist came from. It'll be beautiful and sunny out, then within 10 min the fog comes pouring in, sideways. I was walking home from work today, freezing because i forget you need to have at least 3 outfits with you at all times, and i was watching the fog. I finally figure out what it looks like. You can see it, like it's being pushed into the city with a huge fan. It almost looks like when you get to an intersection, then all of a sudden you realize there's a marathon and thousands of runners dart by. I know you're probably thinking, she's lost it. I blame the fog. It messes with your head...

I just aged 40 years

It dawned on my last night that in the span of 3 days, I had suddenly aged 40 years. We all know I'm an old woman. Yeah, I get it. You've all told me a million times and for a while I've embraced it. I like going to bead early. Staying in and watching old episodes of my favorite shows, comfortable shoes, tea yadda yadda yadda. However I became too old for my own good. I started my job at the PR firm on Monday. I'm an Administrative Assistant and work 8:30 to 5:50. The first day kind of made me sick. I mean, it was exciting, but scary as hell. Each day has gotten better, smoother and people are starting to talk to me. I have conference calls, meetings, passwords and keys. I have diet coke and coffee on hand, access to the full catalog from Office Max and my own desk. I read the New York Times on my phone while I ride the subway. All of these things made me about 45 years old, but then there was the moment last night, when I was at dinner with friends and I got excited. Excited about what you ask? Bagels. Yeah, bagels. Thursdays at my work are bagel Thursdays. Free bagels. And I was so excited. I don't know how but suddenly I'm a million years old. Sad. But hey, at least i like my job, right?

San Fran Shenanigans

We're still exploring the city and finding new places to go. Sometime they work out, sometime, ok many times, we get lost. Andrew and Sparks came to visit while they were in town. I'm really starting to feel like it's home here. I have routines now, coffee shope, brunch places, a jogging path, favorite stores. It was the perfect month to come down here!
